Biography
Derwin Thomas Amerson was born on April 17, 1954 to Billy and Mary Amerson. He took his final journey on January 1, 2011.
After attending East Clayton Elementary and Morrow High School, Derwin chose a career in long haul trucking. His passion for motorcycles was well known as well as his love for his family.
Derwin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Amerson and Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Hargett.
Survivors include his parents, Billy and Mary Amerson of Mansfield; daughters, Amber, Brandy, Kristina, Siarra all of Thomaston; brother, Duane and Diane Amerson of Locust Grove; nephew, Billy and Brittany Amerson; niece, Michele and Clint Jones; grandchildren, Abigail and Tristan.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January, 8, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at New Hope Baptist Church. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
