Mrs. Audrey A. Oglesby Hicks, age 99 of Thomaston Ga., died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Riverside Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Hicks was born on August 16, 1922, in Meriwether County, Georgia, to the late Bennie Pearson, and the late Leavy Ledford Pearson.  She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.  Mrs. Audrey loved gardening, flowers, shopping and she raised many foster children as if they were her own.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, William M. Oglesby, her husband, Clifton Hicks, sons, William F. Oglesby, Michael Oglesby, brother, Perry Pearson, sisters, Francis Barber, Azzie Flournoy, Earlene Eppinger, and Myrtle Beckham.

Survivors include her daughter Joyce Oglesby (David) Beeland of Thomaston, Ellis Oglesby of Manchester, nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 1:30 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Southview Cemetery.
