Ms. Barbara Jean McWaters Burgan age 74 of Forsyth passed away Friday June 10, 2022 at her residence.

Ms. Burgan was born on August 21, 1947 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Trellis McWaters and the late Ethel Watson McWaters. She worked as a caregiver for many years and was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Melinda Philmon, sons Lance Philmon, Sammy Philmon & sister Darnell Marsh.

Survivors include her son David (Betty) Philmon of Forsyth Ga, brother George (Janet) McWaters of Phenix City Al, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Tuesday June 14, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
