Mrs. Bessie Beeland Shaw age 91 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Sunday July 10, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Shaw was born in Thomaston. She was the youngest of nine children, born to the late Paul and Mabel Kilby Beeland. Mrs. Shaw was a 1948 graduate of R.E. Lee. In 1948 she met and married Haywood A. Shaw and was married for 65 years before his death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by a son William "Bill" Shaw, 3 brothers, 5 sisters and great grandson Davis Bartley Tucker.

She is survived by a daughter Kathryn Tucker and husband Rick Tucker, a daughter in law Faye Shaw, grandchildren Joseph Shaw, Amanda Shaw, Ryan Tucker, Amy Tucker Daniel and her husband Jeremy Daniel. Great Grand daughters  Shaw Daniel, Emma Daniel and Caroline Tucker. A large number of beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Thomaston First Untied Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Thomaston First United Methodist Church family life center on Tuesday July 12, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
