Mrs. Bonnie Bevel Maddox, age 68, of Thomaston, died Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Heritage Inn of Barnesville.
Mrs. Maddox was born on August 9, 1957, in The Rock, Georgia, to the late George Leonard Bevel, and the late Eunice Catherine Martin Bevel. She was a piano teacher and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a country girl who loved nature. Mrs. Bonnie was a loving person and a social butterfly. She loved to travel and meet new people, and most of all loved her family and her church. Mrs. Bonnie was truly a special person. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Horace Bevel, Richard Bevel; and aunt, Louise Bevel.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Maddox of Thomaston; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" (Jeremiah Kring) Nicole Bruce of Cataula, GA; son, Adam Nicolas Bruce of Bar Harbor, ME; sister, Paula Raybon King of The Rock, GA, grandchildren, Lindsey Murphy, Chandler Murphy, Lawson Murphy, Lucas Blount, Broden Blount, Cruiz Blount, Raelyn Blount, Raven Kring, Amanda Kring, Joey Wolf, Kara Bruce, Arabella Bruce, Adam Bruce, great grandchildren, Paislee Murphy, and Waylon Watkins
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial to follow at The Rock Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
