Mrs. Carrie "Elaine" Gordy Nordan, age 82, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Nordan was born November 21, 1941, in Pike County, GA, to the late Byron B. Gordy, and the late Bessie Stribling.  She worked in the lunchroom at Upson-Lee Middle School.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Nordan; brothers, Jack Gordy, Buford Gordy, Joe Gordy, Bobby Gordy; and sisters, Ozell Gordy and Louise Hall.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Dennis) Brown of Thomaston; sons, Raymond (Nancy) Nordan of Thomaston, Paul (Beverly) Nordan of Thomaston; brothers, David (Donna) Gordy of Thomaston, Cyrus Gordy of Thomaston; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Coggins Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
