Mr. Cecil Bentley Rogers, age 81, of Lizella GA, died Tuesday, December 12, 2023,, at Macon Medical Center.

Mr. Rogers was born on November 27, 1942, in Thomaston, GA, to the late Charles Ivan Rogers, and to the late Mary Granger Rogers Hatcher.  He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a postal worker and as an insurance agent.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Jina; brothers, Larry Rogers, Raymond Rogers; sister, Shirley Burke.

Survivors include his wife Virginia "Jenny" Hinton Rogers of Lizella; daughters, Lucretia "Lucy" (Jody) Dycus of Griffin and Amber (Todd) Hardeman of Thomaston; son-in-law, Medhi Jina; brother, Donald (Audrey) Rogers; sisters, Faye (Rickey) Bullington, and Anita (Richard) Nicholson; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and special friends, Chris and Tammy Roberts.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
