Mr. Danny Ferrell Blount age 73 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Thursday May 12, 2022, at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mr. Blount was born on June 19, 1948, in Upson County, to the late Roger Lawson Blount, and the late Hattie Frances Johnson Blount.  He is retired from Verizon and served his country in the US Army in Vietnam.  He was a member of City of Refuge Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Kyles, brothers, Troy and John Blount, and sisters, Frances Philpott and Mary Nunley.

Survivors include his brothers, Roger Blount Jr. of Macon, Sammy (Voncille) Blount of Thomaston, sisters, Brenda (Leroy) Brock of The Rock, Catherine Matthews of Thomaston, Betty Hilton of Thomaston, and Dorothy (Alfred) Sheperd of Warner Robins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 6:00 p.m.8:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
