Mr. Darryl Keith Rogers, age 79, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Rogers was born on June 6, 1945, in Upson County, to the late Rev. Wilburn Rogers, and the late Virginia Hughes Rogers.  He worked as a sales representative for Virco and was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston.  He served his country in the Army National Guard.  Mr. Rogers loved being a Deacon and taking care of his families in the church.  He was an avid Disney fan and loved everything Mickey Mouse.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Free, and grandchild, Chais Boyt.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Gail Salter Rogers of Thomaston, daughters, Cathy (Chris) Boyt of Thomaston, Kelly (David) Watson of Griffin, grandchildren, Kyle Boyt, Tyler Watson, Taylor Watson, and great-grandchildren, Tristen Boyt, and Khloe Boyt.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Thomaston.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston.
