Mr. Edgar Alto Ard Sr., age 62, of Thomaston, died on Friday, May 6, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Ard was born on December 20, 1959, in Upson County, to the late Jack Ard, and the late Albertina Matthews Ard.  He worked as a well drill operator and was of the Baptist Faith.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Betty McCullough Ard.

Survivors include his daughter Cynthia Ard, Edgar Ard Jr. of The Rock, brothers, Jack Loncoln Ard Jr. Aubrey J. Ard, Judson Lee Ard, Byron Ard, sisters, Sara Annette Sandefur, Clara Daphene Carraway, Faith Elaine Walton, Willie Mavis Garner, Karen Laverne Coggins, Frances Gennelle Royal, and seventeen grandchildren.

It was Mr. Edgar's wishes to be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
