Mr. Edmond "Tony" Anthony Gassett, age 78, of Meansville, died Monday, October 24, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Gassett was born on February 18, 1944, in Thomaston to the late George Francis Gassett and the late Elsie Rogers Gassett.  He worked for B.F. Goodrich and Upson County Road Department and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Jean Crutchfield Gassett of Meansville, daughter, Faye (Billy Castles) Nixon of Molena, sons, Eddie (Jennifer) Peterson of Pike County, Rodney (Clarissa) Peterson of Pike County, Robert (Deann) Peterson of Meansville, brother Don Gassett of Thomaston, sisters, Lavelle Killingsworth of Meansville, Martha Jo Fallin of Thomaston, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
