Mrs. Eugenia Frang, 83 of Meansville, Ga. passed July 16, 2023, after a brief illness at her residence.

Eugenia was born in Zachloritika, Greece in 1939, 1 of 8 children.  In 1962 she married Marcos Frang, and they then emigrated to Australia, were Michael and Chrissoula were born.  The family then emigrated to the United States, where she gave birth to Alex her second son.

While working as a fulltime manager at Zestos, Marcos and Eugenia both settled down to raise their children, making sure that they had a good education and opportunities that had been lacking in the old country.  Upon the arrival of their first grandchild, they moved to Zebulon to be near Chrissoula and Tom and the grandchildren to come.

Marcos passed in 2009 after 47 years of marriage.  Eugenia continued to work till the age of 80, daily tending her wonderful garden, doing small chores to help her kids, and then working an 8-hour day.

Eugenia put her children and grandchildren first in all endeavors.  Her love was absolute.  Her worries were always for the children rarely for herself.  At the end, she said that she was ready to leave and join Marcos, knowing that her children were in good health.

She leaves behind her daughter Chrissoula (Tom) Tyree of Meansville, sons, Mike (Sabrina) Frang of Riverdale, Alex (Kathy) Frang of Melbourn Australia, brothers, Kostos Tzelepis, Greece, Fani Tzelepis of Australia, sisters, Mary Roussinos of Greece, Georgia Theodorou of Australia, grandchildren, Zane Tyree, Leah Tyree, Owen Tyree, great-grandchild, Willow Tyree, and several cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
