Mrs. Freddie Claire Oberlin Shaw, age 87, of Thomaston GA, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 7, 1935, to the late Fred Duke and Nelly Duke.  She retired from Bolingreen Nursing Home where she worked in the kitchen, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Therlo Oberlin and John Emory Shaw, sisters, Ethel Jean Burkett, Elsie Turner, and Mildred Moren.

Survivors include her sons, Randy (Wanda) Oberlin of Meansville, David (Lynn Craven) Oberlin of Thomaston, and Perry Oberlin of Texas; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
