Mrs. Gloria Ann Rust, age 93, of Thomaston, GA, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her residence. A private memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Rust was born July 6, 1933, in Thomaston, GA, to the late William B. and Allie Ruth Self Riggins, Sr. She was of the Methodist faith, a 1951 graduate of R.E. Lee High School, and was yearbook editor. She received the Thomaston Mills Scholarship and graduated from Georgia State College for Women, where she majored in Journalism. She worked for Darden Restaurants, the parent company for Olive Garden and Red Lobster, in data processing and administration. She was co-owner with her husband of MM Rust and Son Plumbing and Electrical Supply in Orlando, FL. Mrs. Rust was also a longtime employee with Keadle Lumber Co., where she retired. Gloria and her husband Ned were always there for their family, friends, co-workers, and anyone who needed help. They were two amazing and loving individuals!.

Mrs. Rust was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ned Montrose Rust, Sr., son, David Harry Rust, siblings, William B. Riggins, Jr., Elizabeth Ruth Riggins Morris, and Shirley Riggins Graves, nephew, Victor Riggins, and niece, Elaine Morris

Survivors include her son, Ned Montrose Rust, Jr. of Thomaston, granddaughter, Chelsea Zkocarski and her husband Paul, great-grandchildren, Isabel Grace and Noah David Zkocarski; nephews, Danny Brannon and his wife Jean, Mike Morris and his late wife Charlotte, nieces, Jennifer Smith, Roselyn Jarrell and her husband Gary, and Danita Mank and her husband Steve.
