Mr. Herbert Wayne Waddell, age 85, of Peachtree City GA, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Waddell was born on September 3, 1937, in Thomaston, to the late Newton Waddell and the late Jewel Poteat Waddell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during Korea and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also worked as a printer at Allstate Packaging and was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, William "Billy" Herbert Waddell; son-in-law, Robert Brian Valimont; brother, Michael Waddell; grandson, Elijah Jackson Valimont; and granddaughter, Toni Nicole Voss.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Owens Waddell of Peachtree City GA; daughters, Traci Lynn (Rick) Voss, Brenda Faye (Johnny) Niemann, Wendi Gillespie (Keith) Olive, and Gay Gillespie Valimont; brothers, Kenneth (Mary) Waddell, and Ronnie (Kay) Waddell; grandchildren, Jennifer Olive, Dana (Tyler) Griffin, Abby (Remington) Garcia, Hunter Yarbrough, Anna Niemann, Kristen Voss, and Tessa Yarbrough; great-grandchildren, Avery Griffin, Brayden Griffin, Hunter Hohenstein, and Gunner Tevenal.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Upson Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2:30 p.m.
