Obituary

Ina Mae (Pollard) Sauls Gregg, age 96 passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 at her daughter's Gwinnett county home.

Mrs. Gregg was born on August 19, 1929 in Turner County, Ga., but lived most of her 96 years in Thomaston. She was employed in the Weave Shop of Thomaston Mills for several years, and then for a short time at B.F. Goodrich. She left the textile industry and pursued a career in Cosmetology. For many years she worked as beautician at Providence Nursing Home. Eventually she opened her own shop, Modernaire, in the Crest Community. After retiring she enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. When not traveling, she enjoyed watching the various birds visiting the many birdhouses in her yard.

Mrs. Gregg is predeceased by her parents, Grady and Beulah Mae (Wilson) Pollard; her husbands, Albert Sauls and Raymond Gregg; her brothers Floyd and Milton Pollard of Thomaston; and Melvin Pollard of Yatesville. She is survived by her daughter Carol (Woodall) Crosby of Gwinnett Co, Ga.; two sisters, Annie Ruth (Bobbie) Ritchey of Rochelle, Ga, and Martha Hibler of Miami Oklahoma; and two brothers, Bennie (Joyce) Pollard and Henry (Sonia) Pollard of Thomaston. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Gregg was a member of Hendricks Baptist Church.

Visitation will be at Coggins Funeral Home on Monday May 11, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Southview Cemetery.
