Mr. Robert James Ellington age 88 of Thomaston Ga., died Wednesday January 12, 2022 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Ellington was born on February 28, 1933 in Upson County, to the late Robert Ellington, and the late Fannie Louise Bass Ellington.  He worked for B.F. Goodrich Mill as a winder technician and ran a produce stand.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Lou Perkins Ellington, son, Richard Andrew Ellington, brothers, Eugene Ellington, Kenneth Ellington, sister, Brenda Thelma Moody, and great-grandchild, Kenidale Johnson.

Survivors include his granddaughter Lacey (Eric) Ellis of Thomaston brother, Frank (Joyce) Ellington of Thomaston, sisters, Edna Ruth Borders of Byron, Barbara Ann Bryant of Athens, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday January 14, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
