Mr. James "Jimmy" Gilbert Wainwright, age 85, of Thomaston GA, died Friday, April 7, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Wainwright was born on March 25, 1938, in Thomaston GA, to the late Henry Gilbert Wainwright and the late Benice Birdsong Wainwright. He worked for Federal Paperboard for 38 years until his retirement. Mr. Wainwright served his country in the United States Air Force. He was saved June 28, 2022, and a member of Jeff Davis Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Rocky Wainwright; sisters, Mary Butts and Donnis Thompson; and great-grandson, Spencer Duncan.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Wainwright of Thomaston GA, son, Mr. Ross (Lori) Wainwright of Thomaston GA; brother, Mr. Rodney (Carlene) Wainwright of Thomaston GA; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
