Mr. James Warren Lifsey, age 43 of Thomaston, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

James was born on September 16, 1982, in Thomaston, Georgia, to James Edgar Lifsey and Darlene York Lifsey.  He worked for Rizin Sun as a truck driver.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Shane McLaughlin, and stepmother, Carolyn Lifsey.

Survivors include his father, Eddie (Peggy) Lifsey, mother Darlene Lifsey, fiancé, Zeena Cook, mother and father-in-law Tim (Renae) Cook, daughters, Bailey (Jacob Batchelor) Lifsey, Alissa Lifsey, son, Levi Lifsey, brothers, David Johnson, Justin McLaughlin, sisters, Faith (Mitch Boyd) Lifsey, Brandy (Larry) Johnson, Kelly McLaughlin, grandchildren expected in December, Rayna Lenora Batchelor, Rocky Nolan Batchelor, many nieces, nephews, special friends, Andrew Roberson, JJ Palmer, Matt Hammond, Joseph McCoy, Matt McCoy, special bosses and mentors, Karl Fontenot, and Steve Hammond.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. from the Christ Chapel Pavillon Zebulon Campus.
