Mr. James Wesley Yawn, age 72, of Thomaston, died Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Yawn was born May 2, 1952, in Eastman GA to the late Ealon and Estelle Yawn.He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and an proud Bulldog Fan. He retired from the state of Georgia as a Probation Officer and was a member of the Thomaston First Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Tate Yawn; and brother Dwayne Yawn. He is survived by his daughters, Aliceon R. Yawn and Lesley Y. (Michael) Murphy; and grandson, Tucker Murphy.

Funeral services for Mr. Yawn will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
