Janice Estelle Mcqueen of Thomaston, Ga passed away on November 6, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born to the late Louis Mcqueen and Nora Inez Holland Mcqueen. Janice is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shanon Keene.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter, Christle James Ellington, and her son, Keith Gould. Her memory will also be cherished by her brothers, James McQuien, Jerry Mcqueen, and Gene McQueen, as well as her sisters, Peggy Lee, Frances Beasley, and Louise Williams. Janice was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kristion (Greg) Mitzkovitz, Shyanne (Ethan Nelson) Hanson, Bobby Hanson, Morgan Oliver, Jessica (Dustin) Pate, Justin Ellington, and Dalton (Ashley) Keene. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Karsyn Mitzkovtiz, Greyson Grier, Kennedy Oliver, and Olivia Clendening.

Ms. McQueen was cremated, and services are planned for a later date.
