Mr. Jack "Jay" Dover Jr. age 62 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday December 13, 2023, at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Mr. Dover was born on March 31, 1961, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Jack Lanny Dover Sr. and to Martha McCranie Dover.  He worked for Quad Graphics for 30 plus years, Mountain View Baptist Church as the Media Director and Upson Regional Medical Center's IT Department for nine years.  He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his in laws, Donald and Sandra Parks and brother-in-law Tommy Parks.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Dover of Thomaston, wife, Lisa Parks Dover of Thomaston, daughter, Kassi (Ryan) Shumate of Yatesville, son Grant Dover of Thomaston, brothers, Scottie and David Dover of Thomaston, grandchildren, Mason and Kennedi Shumate.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from Mountain View Baptist Church.   Burial will follow at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday December 16, 2023, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church.
