Mrs. Jean Anderson Colwell, age 87, of Thomaston, died Sunday, April 24, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Colwell was born on April 23, 1935, in Thomaston, to the late David Lonzo Anderson and the late Mary Kate Spear Anderson.  She worked in retail at Noells Dress Shop and was a member of McCorkle Curve Road Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie A. Colwell, son, Randall Colwell, brothers, Richard Anderson, Alvin Anderson, William Anderson, John Anderson, sisters, Owanee Conner, Jewell Pugh, and Mae Anderson.

Survivors include her daughter, Stacie (Tony) McElhenney of Thomaston, brother, Steve (Cathryn) Anderson of Thomaston, grandchildren, Austin Langley, Heather Dunn, Mindy Leithesier, Dustin Colwell, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
