Mr. Jerry "Wayne" Bridges, 72, of Thomaston, GA, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Jerry was born February 24, 1950, in Lincoln Park, GA, he is the son of the late Eberette and Estelle Bridges.  Wayne was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Wayne had an immense love for spending time with his family out by the pool he had installed for everyone to enjoy and grilling out and having a couple beers. Wayne was a bit obsessed with Elvis Presley as any of his friends or family will tell you. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Christine Moncrief, Dorris and Jo Ann, brother, James Bridges.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Frankie Lee (Woodall) Bridges of Thomaston; two children: Donna Clay Lowe of Thomaston, GA, and Cathy (Adam Cleveland) Clay of Thomaston, GA; four grandchildren: Nick Bridges, Heather (Daniel) Stilwell, Heath (Tyler) Brackett and JR (Brittany) Lowe; five great-grandchildren: Alexis, Camden, Sophie, Raelynn, and Levi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Christine Moncrief, Dorris and Jo Ann, brother, James Bridges.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
