Mr. John Harvey Garner Jr. age 77 of Thomaston Ga., died Thursday December 16, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Garner was born on May 20, 1944 in Thomaston, to the late John Harvey Garner Sr. and the late Bertha Mae Parker Garner.  He served his country in the U.S. Marines in Vietnam.  He worked for Caterpillar and was a member of Mt. Gap Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tracie McCoy, and infant brother, Lester Garner.

Survivors include, his wife, Linda Garner of Thomaston, sons, Timothy M. (Maria) Garner of Meansville, Robbie L. (Toye) Garner of Pike County, brothers, Mack Garner of Thomaston, Donald (Gail) Garner of Thomaston, Pete (Patricia) Garner of Tennessee, sisters, Dimple (Billy) Sullivan of Forsyth, Eileen Dowdy of Thomaston, Shenna (Walt) Brawner of LaGrange, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. from Mt. Gap Church.
