Mr. John Shipp McCleskey Jr. age 58 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Thursday October 20, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. McCleskey was born on August 13, 1964, in Americus, Georgia, to the late John Shipp McCleskey Sr., and the late Katherine Morris McCleskey.  He worked for the Thomaston Fire Department and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Americus.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Marie Baggett McCleskey of Thomaston, daughters, Jennifer (Charles) Lamb of Thomaston, Jessica (Travis) Wheless of Thomaston, grandchildren, Jackson Buchanan, Russell Lamb, Clay Lamb, Christian Garner, Cate Garner, Jackie Wheless, mother-in-law, Glenda Baggett of Thomaston, brother in laws, Marc (Connie) Baggett of Thomaston, Clayton Todd (Diane) Baggett, and sister-in-law Deborah Spillers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
