Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Brannon, age 77, of Meansville, died Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Brannon was born on September 10, 1944, Thomaston, to the late William Ferrell Brannon Sr., and the late Mary Osbolt Brannon.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  He worked for Mead Westvaco as a land management forester.  Mr. Brannon was a Vigil Honor Member of the Arrow Troop 20 Scout Master and was a Service Adult Leader Trainer, an Endowment Member of NRA, and a member of Barnesville Presbyterian Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Travis Sinclair Brannon, and brother, Billy Brannon.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Brannon, son, Sam Brannon, brothers, Kenny (Eleanor) Brannon and Donny (Karen) Brannon; and sister-in-law, Nita Brannon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
