Mr. Jose "Tony" Antonio Rodriguez age 78 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Rodriguez was born on November 8, 1944, in Cuba, to the late Leoncio Rodriguez and the late Maria Martin Rodriguez.  He was of the Catholic Faith.  Mr. Tony left Cuba at the age of 17 and moved to the Canary Islands in Spain where he lived for two years, then moved to the United States.  Mr. Tony and his wife, Esperanza then moved to Venezuela where they owned and operated and restaurant in the business district for forty years. Once Venezuela became a communist country they moved back to the United States, where they both retired.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Esperanza Rodriguez, brothers, Leoncio, Daniel, and Oscar Rodriguez, and sister Betty Rodriguez.

Survivors include his brother, Carlos Rodriguez of Thomaston, sisters, Maria Rebustillo, and Teresa Camino both of Thomaston and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter The Rock Catholic Church.  Inurnment will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.
