Mr. Julius "Lynn" Horne, age 82 of Yatesville, Georgia, died Monday, December 29, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Horne was born on May 3, 1943, in Leesburg, Georgia to the late Julius Monroe Horne, and the late Saralynn Stephens Horne.  He worked in farm construction and owned and operated Horne Fencing.  He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Yatesville.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Owen.

Survivors include his wife Doris Norene Harp Horne, daughters, Angela (Chris) O'Neal, Jill (Tim) Knight, sons, Mike (Melanie) Horne, Steven (Kimberly) Horne, Jim (Cyndi) Weatherford, Todd Weatherford, Carl Weatherford, David (Julie) Wetherford, sister, Hilda Stephens, eighteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church in Yatesville.  Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Paran Baptist Church in Monroe County.  The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Yatesville.
