Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Franklin Murphy, age 53, of Thomaston, died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Murphy was born on May 16, 1968 in Upson County to Tony Murphy and Pat Collins.  He worked as a security guard at Upson Regional Medical Center.  He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jesse Luke Elder.

Survivors include his mother, Pat (Glen) Collins of Thomaston, father, Tony (Linda) Murphy of Thomaston, his wife Robbin Gleaton Murphy of Thomaston, step children, Hayley (Parker) Elder, Logan (Katelynn) Kent, grandson, Will Elder, brother, Todd (Kim) Murphy, mother in law, Peggy Gleaton, brother in law, Byron Gleaton, and nieces, Meg and Alydia Murphy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
