Mrs. Nellie "LaVelle" Hall Casteel, age 84, of Thomaston GA, died Monday, November 6, 2023, at Providence Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Casteel was born July 21, 1939, in Thomaston GA, to the late Lewis Alfred Hall and the late Ella Gertrude Howell Hall. She worked as a nurse for 10 years in the Thomaston Upson County School System. Mrs. Casteel was a member of Antioch Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Tyrone "Tony" Casteel.

Survivors include her sons, Mr. Tyrone (Melissa) Casteel of Woodstock GA, Mr. Al (Joy) Casteel of Thomaston GA; 4 Grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services for both Mr. Tony Casteel and Mrs. LaVelle Casteel will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery, Thomaston GA .
