Mrs. Linda Blackmon, age 75 of Thomaston, died Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Brighmoor Hospice in Griffin.

Mrs. Blackmon was born on August 12, 1948, in Upson County, Georgia to the late, Hugh Stewart and the late Naomi Pitts Stewart.  She retired from the William Carter Company after 34 years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and attended Clarks Chapel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Rev. Matthew "Matt" Blackmon.

Survivors include her husband, Carlton Blackmon of Thomaston, sister, Brenda (Grady) Kelley of Thomaston, grandchildren, Kaleb Blackmon, Lason Blackmon, Jaden Blackmon, Bella Grace Blackmon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
