Mrs. Margie Anne (Gooden) Perdue age 89 of Yatesville, GA died Saturday June 24, 2023, at the Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Margie Perdue was born on November 15, 1933, in Meansville, GA to the Trummie Tillery Gooden and Addie May Willoughby.  She worked at the William Carter Company where she met Donald Kelly Perdue, and they were married in 1955.  She owned Margie's Curl and Swirl close to 50 years. She provided services for her customers in hospitals, nursing facilities, and their homes when they couldn't come to her business. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and gardening. She was a member of the Yatesville Baptist Church. She loved being a member of the Yatesville Senior Citizens where she helped with the Chitlin Hoedown. She loved family gatherings during holidays and special events. She was the last living member of her immediate family of ten.

Her survivors include children Wanda (Rodney) Dozier, Roxane (Freddie) Vaughn, Kim Martin, John (Michelle) Perdue all residing in Yatesville, GA. Grandchildren Toni (Ricky) Myrick, Misty (Christian) Gray, Brooke (Justin) Parrott, Nicki (Clint) Watson, Kelly Martin, Candice Gaultney, Pat Gaultney, Josh Vaughn, Taylor (Jacob) Howard, Josie Perdue, Shari (Billy) Wright, Dwayne Dozier, Randy (Lonna) Dozier, and Christopher (Kyla) Dozier, which she loved and cherished. Many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister in-law Edith Gooden. All of which she loved and enjoyed visiting with.

She will be missed by all but memories will carry us through.  Her love of music, singing, and dancing are some of our fondest memories of our beautiful mother.  She had a smile that could change your mood.

Family meal will be held 3 pm. at Yatesviile Baptist Church on Tuesday June 27, 2023. Visitation services following at 4 pm. with funeral services at 5 pm.
