Mrs. Mary Ann Thomas Slaughter, age 86, of Thomaston GA, died Thursday, January 13, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Slaughter was born June 17, 1935, to the late Melvin Thomas and Florrie Peugh Hagans. She was a retired clerk for Dr. Virginia Jones, and member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wynton Slaughter; son-in-law, Ferrell Willis; and sister, Kay Williamson. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Willis of Thomaston; sister, Betty Jo Tocco of Michigan; 4 grandchildren, Katie (Mike) Brown, Beckie Kersey, Laura (Garrett) Wilson, and Barbie (Chuck) Bowser; and 4 great-grandchildren, Ella Kate, Brogan, Kiersten, and Jonathan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Slaughter will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at 4:30 pm in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 16, 2022, right before the service.
