Mr. Matthew "Phat Matt" Scott Shavers, age 38, of Thomaston GA, died Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his residence.

Matthew was born August 30, 1985, in Thomaston, GA, to Floyd Scott Shavers, and Angie Lynn Hemby Crider.  He was a Truck Driver Quality Trucking in Barnesville, GA.

Survivors include his mother, Angie (Tim Hammond) Crider; father, Scott (Valerie) Shavers; brother, James Dale Shavers; sisters, Jessica (Dillon Shaw) Marie Russell, and Alex (Jacob) Caldwell; aunt, Julie Teal; uncle, Ashley (Katherine) Shavers; nieces, Cara Trusty, Charlotte Caldwell, and Lauren Caldwell; cousins, Rynleigh Teal, Rylee Teal, Stephen Teal, Hunter Teal, Taylor Teal, and Clayton Teal.

The family will have a memorial service on Saturday April 6, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. from 1399 The Rock Rd. Thomaston, Ga 30286.
