All family and friends are invited to a celebration of life service on October 9, 2021 from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at her residence, 875 Thompson Rd. Meansville, GA.

Melody passed away August 24, 2021, she was born March 8, 1959 in Thomaston, GA., to the late Ferrell and Becky Fortner.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie Fortner and Eddie Fortner.

Survivors include her fiance, Donnie Jones of Meansville, daughter, Tamara (Barry) Rogers of Orlando, FL., son Desmon "Bubba" Thompson of Thomaston, brother, Mike (Deana) Fortner of Meansville, sisters, Darline Jones of Meansville, and Lisa (Helen) Pace of Thomaston, granddaughters, Chelsea McDaniel of Thomaston, Bailee Rogers of Orlando, great-grand kids, Levi and Shyann Fuller of Thomaston.
