Mr. Michael Edward Douglas, age 59, of Thomaston, died Friday, September 6, 2024, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Douglas was born on August 24, 1965 in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Kenneth Reynolds Douglas and the late Emily Loyd Douglas McDuffie.  He graduated from R.E. Lee in 1983 as an honor graduate and was a proud Eagle Scout.  He graduated from Auburn University and received his Masters Degree from Georgia Tech.  Michael worked in sales and was a marketing contractor. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Douglas and Emily Douglas McDuffie.

He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Douglas, of Leesburg FL, and Debbie (Doug) Overton of San Antiono TX; nieces and nephews, Brent Sheppard, Robert Sheppard, Hannah Overton, Sarah Overton, and Jay Overton; as well as lots of friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Douglas will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 9, 2024. from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
