Mr. Milton Hitson, age 80 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2022, at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Mr. Hitson was born on December 27, 1941, in Pope City, Georgia, to the late Milton Russell Hitson, and the late Josephine Sanders Hitson.  He earned a Masters Degree in Physical Education.  He worked at Upson-Lee for 22 years as a football and basketball coach, and was a member of Christ Chapel Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Patti Lynch Hitson of Thomaston, daughter, Tangi Compton of Barnesville, son Jeremy (Jennifer) Compton of Thomaston, brothers, Romey (Debbie) Hitson of Forsyth, Edward "Skipper" (Karen) Parker of Thomaston, and grandchild, Anna Jayne Compton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Christ Chapel Church. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Christ Chapel Church.
