Mrs. Molly Summitt Pevey, age 70, of Hahira GA, formerly of Thomaston, died Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Pevey was born on January 13, 1956, in Tallahassee, FL, to the late H. C. Summitt Jr. and the late Frances Hall Summitt.  She was a nurse and homemaker, and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Pevey II; and sister, Vann Summitt.

Survivors include her son, Josh (Jennifer) Speelman; daughters, Jennifer (Terry) Dean, Pamela Pevey, Carol (Derrick) Anderson, Vann (Scooter) Gilbert; daughter-in-law, Beth Speelman; brother, Jay (Marge) Summitt; sister, Bebe (Ricky) Thedford; 19 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church.
