Mr. Moses "Mose" Thompson passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Thompson was born on July 18, 1936, in Upson County, to the late William Horace Thompson, Sr. and the late Lizzie Lou McKinley Thompson. He retired from Martha Mills after 46 years in various supervisory roles. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church (Yatesville) and a past member of the Yatesville Lions Club and the National Guard. He also worked for Coggins Funeral Home.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Jimmy (Wanita) Thompson, Hugh (Donnis) Thompson, W.H. Thompson, Jr. (Gladys), Martha (William) Gibson, Felton (Nellie) Thompson, Bobby (Carolyn) Thompson, Elsie (Pete) Ellerby, and Mary Grace Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Clarice Blackston Thompson; children, Mark (Lee Ann), Paul (Tamara) Thompson, Renee (Ronny) Shingler, and Mike Watson; brother and sisters, Charles (Mary Alice) Thompson, Betty Sue (Wesley) Wilson, Sarah (Jimmy) Hearn, Linda (Larry) Walker, and Joyce Waller; grandchildren Theresa (Marcus) Snead, John (Ashley) Thompson, Caroline (Brian) Cox, Elizabeth (Chase) Mitchell, and Mary Katherine (Zachary) Ledford, Rachael (Tommy) Holloman, Ryan (Katy) Shingler, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your local Lions Club or to your local church in memory of Mose.
