Obituary

Mrs. Johnnie "Patricia" Beeland Majors age 85 of Thomaston Ga, died Sunday April 28, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Majors was born on January 8, 1939, in Butler, Georgia, to the late Johnnie Fred Beeland, and the late Ida Lee Culverhouse Beeland.  She graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor's degree in nursing and worked as the Director of Surgery at North Fulton Medical Center.  Mrs. Patricia was a member of Thomaston First Presbyterian Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Monroe Majors, and her brother, Wayne Beeland.

Survivors include her daughters, Mitzi Kallio of Thomaston, Mimi (Stacy Harris) Majors of Wake Forest, NC., Mia (Steve) Mackey of Thomaston, grandchildren, Natalie (Cody) Smith, Caitlyn (Trivon Thompson) Kallio, Jacqueline (Chris Hartgrove) Wyatt, Madeline (Thomas Owenby) Wyatt, Cara Mackey, Katherine (Matt Tome) Washburn, James Alex Mackey, great-grandchildren, Kaeden, Emma-Leigh, Raegan, Kennedy, Harvin, Arthur, Gryffin, Amelia, and Teddy.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from Thomaston First Presbyterian Church.  Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Zebulon.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Thomaston First Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Memorial Fund for Johnnie Majors at Coggins Funeral Home, 321 Hannahs Mill Rd. Thomaston, GA 30286.
