Mr. Raymond Dupree Purcell, age 78, of Thomaston, died Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Purcell was born October 4, 1944, in Atlanta GA, to the late Charles and Margaret Willingham Purcell. He retired as a Lineman with Southern Bell with 30 years of service. He was also a member of Brooks Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Purcell; daughter Jaylyn (Mark) Nagro of Cummings GA; sons, Lance Purcell of Temple TX, Jason (Chantal Engelhart) Purcell of Columbia SC, and Mike (Stacey) Purcell of Watkinsville GA; and also 12 grandchildren

Memorial services for Mr. Purcell will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Brooks Christian Chruch, 969 Hwy 85 Connector, Brooks GA. The family will receive friends 1 Hour prior to the service at the church.
