Mrs. Rebecca Jo Long Williamson age 79 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday October 19, 2023 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Williamson was born on April 19, 1944 in Whitfield County, Georgia, to the late Edgar Aaron Long, and the late Mary Elizabeth Gibson Long.  She worked for the Upson County School System as a Para Pro and was a member of Elkins Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Eppinger.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Thomas Williamson of Thomaston, daughter, Deborah Maddox of Thomaston, Rhonda Maddox of Thomaston, Janet (Bill) Goodberlet of Alamo, Georgia, son, Greg Maddox of Zebulon, step-sons, Andrew (Cindy) Williamson of Meansville, Phillip (Shelley) Williamson of North Carolina, Jonathon (Liz) Williamson of South Carolina, brothers, Clifford (Song) Long of Chetsworth, Christopher (Pam) Long of Tyrone, sisters, Martha (Billy) Berry of Griffin, Teresa Sanders of Thomaston, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
