Mrs. Rena Viola McCullough Chanclor, age 86, of The Rock, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Chanclor was born on March 23, 1935 in Sumter County, to the late Tom Dees and to the late Emmie Harris Dees.  She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas F. McCullough and Doyal Chanclor, daughters, Irene Blakely, Lois Nicholson, Betty Ard, brothers, Rufus Dees, and Tommy Higner.

Survivors include her daughters, Janette Hoyal of Thomaston, Linda Sandefur of Molena, Lilly Giddens of Yatesville, son, Albert McCullough of Thomaston, 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 18 great-great granchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
