Mr. Ricky Lynn Smith, age 63 of Thomaston, died September 8, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born on December 30, 1961, in Covington, Georgia to the late David Michael Smith and the late Marilyn Celeste Head Smith.  He worked for Great Southern Wood in Conyers for nine years then went on to retire from lumber sales at Universal Forest Products in Moultrie and Eatonton Plants after 26 years.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Natalie "Kim" Smith of Thomaston, step-mother, Sue Smith of Covington, sons, Les (Tabitha Bunn) Smith of Thomaston, Cal Northrup Jr. of Fayetteville, TN, brothers, Michael (Dianne) Smith of Rutledge, Eric Gravitt of Covington, sisters, Robin Warren of Covington, Suzanne Gravitt of Covington, sister-in-laws, Teresa (Mark) Gilbert of Barnesville, Karla (Sam) Benton of The Rock, grandchildren, Kacie, Kenzie, Richie, Bella, Mason, Hunter, Easton, Courtney, Austin, great-grandchildren, Laken, Callie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.

The family has requested for flowers that they be shrubs and trees.
