Mr. Rodney "Hot Rod" Wayne Wheeler, age 60, of Thomaston GA, died Wednesday January 7, 2026, at St. Josephs Hospital.

Mr. Wheeler was born on July 30, 1965, in Thomaston, GA, to Edgar Clayton (E.C.) Wheeler and the late Brenda Hammond Sorrells.  He worked for Tencate Textiles in Zebulon.  In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Wheeler.  Rodney was an avid Mopar fan and loved AC/DC.  He was a loving and wonderful father, father-in-law, brother, son and paw paw.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Destiney) Wheeler; father, E.C. Wheeler;  brothers, Eddie (Tammie) Wheeler, Ken Sorrells, Brad Wheeler; sister, Lisa (Bill) Myers, Sheri (Deke) Akin, Tonya (Robert) Watson, Renee (Kerry) Ellington; grandchildren, Temperance Wheeler and Eli Wheeler.

Memorial services will be held on Monday. January 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from Northridge Church at 430 Hickory Ridge Rd. Meansville, GA 30256.
