Mr. Julian "Roy" Baughcum, age 84, of Thomaston GA, died Monday, November 15, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Baughcum was born on March 4, 1937, in Thomaston,GA. He was born to the late Hiram Baughcum and Thelma Smith Baughcum.  He worked as a manager at Atlanta Dairies, was a member of Vega Community Church, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean "Sissy" Baughcum; brothers, Aaron Baughcum, Doug Baughcum, Bentley Baughcum, and Howard Baughcum.

He is survived by his daughter Cathy McDaniel of Thomaston; sons, Jay Baughcum of Monroe GA, Jimmy (Susan) Baughcum of Decatur; brother Floyd Baughcum of Thomaston; grandchildren, Nick (Leeann) McDaniel, Carrie Anderson, Jo Hutchison, Jessica (Ryan) Elliott, Jordan (Courtney) Baughcum, Kaylee Baughcum; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 2:00 pm from Vega Community Church. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 1:00 p.m - 2:00 p.m. at Vega Community Church.

Family is gathering at Roy's granddaughter's home (Carrie Anderson) at 204 Diane Dr. Thomaston, GA 30286, for those who would like to stop by and visit.
