Roy Bart Salter of Thomaston passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday September 2, 2021.

He was born in Thomaston Ga., on October 19, 1952 to the late Roy Salter Jr. and Shirley Anglin Salter.  He graduated from R.E. Lee. Bart worked many years at Peerless Mills and later retired from Care Master in Griffin Ga. Bart was a member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church, where he played organ for many years. Bart also traveled many years with the family gospel group Shirley Salter and the Believers. He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother Shirley A. Salter of Thomaston, brother Blake Salter of Thomaston, two special friends that he called sisters, Cindy Cato and Debbie Helms of Thomaston., aunt Sara Anglin of Meansville Ga., Several Cousins also survive.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Tuesday September 7, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
