Mr. Russell Edward Yarbrough, age 69 of Thomaston, died Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Heritage Inn in Barnesville.

Mr. Yarbrough was born on February 4, 1955, in Fulton County, Georgia to the late Marion Howell Yarbrough, and the late Viola Holmes Yarbrough.  He served his country in the US. Navy aboard the USS America CV66 and worked as a truck driver for Carters.  He was a member of The Rock Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mike Yarbrough & brother in law Kenneth Bass.

Survivors include his daughter, Dixie (Robert) Miller of Barnesville, brother, Bill (Louise) Yarbrough of Iowa, sister, Sharlene Bass, grandchildren, Heather (Jimmy) Steward, Caitlyn (Cody) Fox, Margaret Miller, Sarah Alice Gay, Hannah Hobbs, great-grandchildren, Gracie, Mylee, James, Hudson, and Ripkin. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Sunday February 2, 2025 from 5-7 p.m.
