Donald Shannon Tyler age 50 of Barnesville Ga., passed away Saturday September 18, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Shannon was born on May 21, 1971 in Columbus Ga., to Donnie Tyler and Virginia Scott Tyler. He was employed with Helix where he worked as an Operation Manager. Shannon served his community as a volunteer fireman.

Survivors include his wife Erica Tyler of Barnesville Ga., daughter Kenley Tyler of Atlanta Ga., sons Zack Tyler of Lagrange Ga., Cullen Tyler of Barnesville Ga., father Donnie Tyler of Thomaston Ga., mother Virginia Tyler of Barnesville Ga., step brother Brent (Jessica) McDaniel of Macon Ga., sister Shawn (Brent) Daniel of Thomaston Ga., step sister Kaki (Steve) Heath of Athens Ga., grandchild Jax Tyler.

The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Sunday September 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
